SEL proudly hosted our inaugural Quarterly SELebration Morning Tea at Dandenong Stadium on Friday 21 October. The SELebration awards were designed to highlight SEL staff who had showed excellence in the four values of South East Leisure – Care, Open, Fun and Sustainable.
The awards are all nominated and decided by SEL staff.
We were fortunate to have SEL Chairman Steven Wright and CEO John Clark join us to award our four very deserving winners of our SELebration Values awards.
Care – We care about our people, our actions, and our outcomes: Trent Gravestein-Rolff, Pool Lifeguard
Open – We are honest, transparent, and respectful in our actions: Katie MacDonnell, Aquatics Program Team Leader
Fun – We work hard, we have fun and celebrate our success: Imelda Killeen, Swim Teacher
Sustainable – We provide commercially and environmentally sustainable outcomes: Dale Harrison, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
SEL also took the opportunity to recognise some very special team members for their involvement in a recent major incident that took place. Without the incredible swift action that was taken by these team members who recognised that a patron was in need of emergency first aid, this major incident could have very quickly turned into a critical incident. We are beyond proud of the steps and action that was taken by these quick thinking team members who calmly applied their first aid and CPR training in a real life, high pressure scenario. A big thank you and well done to Aidan Del Socorro, Stephanie Rider-Pateras and Peter McGregor who all received an Award of Excellence!
Recognising the achievements and fantastic work our team are doing through this Quarterly SELebration program is a great honour.
