Phillip Danh has lived in Noble Park his entire life and is passionate about serving the local community. As a lifelong user of SEL’s facilities, he understands the important role they play in promoting health, wellbeing and community connection.
Elected to Greater Dandenong City Council in 2024, Phillip regularly engages with residents, community groups and sporting clubs to ensure local voices are heard.
He is passionate about ensuring access to high-quality facilities that encourage active lifestyles, social inclusion and positive outcomes for people of all ages.
Peta Gillies is an experienced executive leader with more than 20 years’ experience in executive and CEO roles across local government, community services, not-for-profit and private sector organisations. She is committed to creating stronger, more connected and inclusive communities, with a focus on improving outcomes for people, places and local participation.
Peta has led significant organisational transformation, service innovation and growth initiatives, bringing together community, government and partner organisations to address complex challenges and deliver lasting public value. Her work has focused on strengthening community wellbeing, inclusion and participation, while fostering a sense of belonging across diverse communities.
Known for her collaborative, authentic and values-driven leadership style, Peta builds trusted relationships and empowers teams to achieve meaningful outcomes. She combines strategic thinking, governance expertise and change leadership to translate community aspirations into practical, sustainable and community-centred solutions.
Peta is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Graduate Diploma in Business, is certified in Change Management, and is currently completing an Executive Master of Public Administration.
