Dandenong Oasis receives prized LSV Platinum Pool Award

South East Leisure (SEL) is thrilled to announce that Dandenong Oasis has received Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) prestigious Platinum Pool Accreditation.

Oasis was awarded Platinum Pool status for recognised signs of excellence in providing outstanding levels of compliance and safety.

The award now sees Dandenong Oasis become just one of 40 Victorian public aquatic facilities to currently hold the accreditation.

To maintain their platinum accreditation, LSV manager – aquatic industry services, Alek Olszewski said, Dandenong Oasis would need to pass a combination of assessment processes from LSV every 12 months.

“Platinum pool accreditation really is reserved for the best of the best, and so I congratulate Dandenong Oasis on their strong safety protocols and newly-minted platinum accreditation that will ensure guests of the facility are able to make the most of the new facility to learn lifelong water safety skills,” he said.

Multiple elements are taken into consideration for the accreditation, including an industry leading Pool Safety Assessment, mystery guest visits and adherence to the best practice ‘Watch Around Water’ child supervision program.

SEL CEO, John Clark was pleased to see Oasis rank up there with best facilities in Victoria for compliance and safety.

“This is a great achievement for our team at Oasis, there has been a concentrated effort to have this facility recognised as one of Victoria’s Platinum Pools. To now be acknowledged alongside the best aquatic facilities in the state when it comes to compliance and safety is great recognition for our efforts, and we look forward to maintaining this standard.

“Oasis is a pillar in the City of Greater Dandenong, and has been for a very long time, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and quality service for our community. We hope our patrons recognise this and continue using the facility with confidence,” said Clark.
